Weekend away

Hola amigos,

We got back yesterday from our ´mini-outreach´ weekend. All the students split into groups of 8 and went off to different places around Buenos Aires for the weekend. While some groups had to perform about 3 dramas, dance choreographies, do street evangelism and lead the Sunday service at the church where they were staying (including doing the preaching), our group were given a slightly less packed schedule, which mostly involved being with kids! However, the church had asked for someone to teach the children on Sunday morning and to my dismay the leaders put me forward for the task! However, thanks to God despite my nerves and hardly any time to prepare it seemed to go well and we had a lot of fun.

Now that we´re back, we are enjoying our free day off but getting ready for 400 people to descend on our base here as we are hosting the National YWAM Argentina Conference, so we´ll be off our regular classes and activities this week. I can´t quite imagine where they will all fit... I´ll be moving rooms to the younger, larger, colder and nosier girls room from the week (but I don´t mind as I think there are less snorers!). We´ve all been assured that the week is going to be absolutely hectic but great, but apart from that don´t really know what to expect. I think my after-lunch kitchen clear up duties are going to step up a gear... from washing up for about 50 to washing up for 450!!

Still no news on Outreach locations... and no news on when we´ll know either! Hopefully soon...

I´m going to have another go at posting photos... let´s see what happens...

Lots of washing up practice for Karen. Hmmmm. Jamie D and I would have had something to say about that, but not being able to see yr face takes the fun out of it. ;)

Very funny Andy, I can guess exactly what you would have had to say about it. Can you send me your email if you´re not on the group list? Cheers dude. Karen
