The weekend...

On Sunday, with less than two weeks before I leave, I discovered that I live fairly near an area of outstanding beauty - that is, Richmond Park. It was such a glorious day that all 'tasks' got thrown aside and I hopped on my bike and couldn't stop cycling. And I discovered that there's loads of people cycling round the park, and running round it, and walking - it's a little community of exercisers - my idea of heaven!! Why is that it takes till we leave somewhere to start appreciating what is on our doorstep?

Saturday night I had a little combined (premature) birthday and farewell do in London - it was so much fun to have lots of people from different walks of life all in one room, and my bruv (scroll down to see Dave and his hat) and his mate played music in the little section they'd set aside for us. They did a great job! Hopefully I'll be able to post one or two pics of the night up soon.
